You should be able to load LPD from the windows cd. I recall it is thru additional windows compents. After you get it loaded you need be make sure the LPD service is started. Also when naming you printer(in windows) use a simple name, because this will be the name you config when creating a remote outq. _____________________________ Bryan Dietz Aktion Associates -> > -> > Need to print to an old Tally T6212 which is parallel attached to a -> > Win2000(?) server and same local lan with new i5. -> > Currently all the win desktop users can print to it. -> > I'm used to having an ip address and setup a remote print writer for -> > something like this only attached to a Jet Direct box. -> > This printer has no ip (but the Win server does). -> > Customer wants to leave printer attached as is (no new hardware). -> > i5 not setup yet, but need a plan. -> > -> > Jim Franz --This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing listTo post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
