Hi: Yes, telnet from a Windows command line does connect via a virtual device (named QPADEVxxxx). However, the display I get doesn't display underscores for input capable fields or respond to function keys. The first is a minor annoyance, the second is anything but minor. This may work better in newer versions of i5/OS/400 or Windows than the setup I tested: V5R2 and W2K Pro. Or, there may be something about our configuration that is unusual. However, the general case is disproved. Darrell Darrell A. Martin - 630-754-2187 Manager, Computer Operations dmartin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 11/13/2006 07:49:36 AM:
David, I don't know if this will help you or not, but you can telnet to the
from a WinDoze command prompt. The session behaves just like any TN5250 session but it is black and white instead of green. -- Regards, Michael Rosinger Systems Programmer / DBA Computer Credit, Inc. 640 West Fourth Street Winston-Salem, NC 27101 336-761-1524 m rosinger at cciws dot com "David Foxwell" <david.foxwell@xxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:mailman.70.1163421035.2629.midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hello to everyone, I've only just discovered the command STRPCCMD. I was looking to see if the reverse was possible. I am using RPG for CGI in internet explorer and I want to be able to run
green screen interactive programme from the browser. David Foxwell -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing
