An example would be to post an instructors class scheduled 
to their Exchange calendar or post an employees vacation 
request to their calendar. 


You mean besides just sending them an email with the event in it, just
like a meeting request? Doing it on a PC would be rather simple with CDO
or Redemption, provided the "user" running the app had the appropriate
permissions in exchange. But I've never tried it from WebDAV.
