How about running our own relay/SMTP server?
If they're going to stop blanket relaying from internal IPs, I would guess they'll block outbound TCP/25 traffic from internal IPs too, otherwise you've locked the back door and left the front door wide open. Chris is right though, you can allow relay from specific IPs, so just have them add the System i IP to the allow list. -Walden
