This one time, at band camp, I put a twinax card in a PC and then hooked
up a 21" flat panel to it. Put the PC in extra space in a 42U rack, had
a black KB, mouse, and the flat panel sitting on top of one of the
sidecars of the system, ran the cables under the floor to the PC.
Looked SWEEEEEEET! Management LOVED it - worked great, too.

He's already got twinax, and the owner just want something "more modern
looking" so that seemed like the least expense. Doesn't sound like the
owner was interested in increased functionality. <g>

But Jim might be . . .

I think a third party makes something like that. Only two good uses I
can think of that.
- If you're really petty about your choice of keyboard or monitor.
- You want to access your terminal through remote KVM access.
(Providing the box allows that.) That could be useful.

Isn't there some kind of little black box or balun or whatnot that's
actually twinax, and you attach a standard keyboard and flat panel to?
Maybe I'm dreaming.
