Re: Comments on Thin Consoles

I could give you some horror stories of the mythical "100% always 
available twinax console".  But I've decided that is a religious war and 
passion often rules out over facts and I'll just stay out of that.  One 
thing that is not available to straight twinax is remote access - doing a 
RCLSTG from home last weekend was nice.  (Well, not as nice as actually 
getting out in the treestand would have been.)

Not using the new "thin console".

Have used Op's console.  Didn't have too much problem.  Even upgraded the 
os on the op's console, on the iSeries, etc, with little to no 
interruption.

Am using HMC, but unless you are doing lpar's or "Capacity Upgrade on 
Demand", it can be an expensive solution.  Then again, if you are managing 
multiple i5's, it's quite useful.
