"We are currently looking to evaluate the best way to move our "green screen" applications to make them web enabled, or at least viewed via a web browser. Is there a place to go to show a good comparison of the "major" products, such as HATS, Web facing, or non-IBM products such as Axes." "... to make them web enabled, or at least viewed via a web browser..." There is a product available from MohcaSoft - their 5250 ActiveX control that allows a "green screen session" from within a browser. Granted, this is not what we typically perceive or discuss as web enabling, but if all you want to do is access a green screen from a browser, this is a very simple and cost effective solution. I found this and bascially installed it into the iSeries Access for Web configuration in my IFS. (We dumped ISAFW when we found the Mocha Active X product.) It's fast and lean, and very effective - and allows for free full function trials. We use it on our private portal, and it eliminates remote users from having to use iSeries Access to get a green screen session. I configured/installed it on only one of our systems and it provides access to both our iSeries.
