"I wonder how a presentation on a good workflow system we use in Domino would go over? Bring in your non developer people like your quality managers, engineering managers, etc. What do you think?" Bingo Rob - the keyword is MANAGERS. Until the upper level managers of the companies within the midrange world see the many values of what the i5 platform has to offer to the future of their business, we in the trenches can only keep up with what their manager's ongoing concern is. The board of our LUG (NWOMUG) which went belly up at the beginning of this year, always discussed ways to try to attract managers since they make the decisions. But as always, they are too busy, overworked, or in cost cutting mode to keep up with technology - and that is sad since we know there are many ways the technology can help the managers do a better job. True catch-22 and unfortunately, when we had top notch speakers from Common, or web conferences live from Rochester/Toronto, we still could only attract techies who loved the content but couldn't get the message through to management. (Just like Common can't get the marketing message through to IBM management.)
