Adam - you just asked the million dollar question - go for it Dave!!! REXX has been part of OS/400 since it began. There are 2 iSeries manuals, a reference and a programmer's guide. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp?topic=/rzahg/rzahgrexx.htm takes you directly to the spot in infocenter where you can see the manuals. Then there is all kinds of stuff on the 'Net - http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-rexx.html is an intro at IBM's DeveloperWorks - lots more there - REXX is basically the same on all IBM platforms. And you can always google on "rexx example" or "rexx tutorial" - and I read the original book by Cowlishaw, the original developer of REXX, when I started looking at it. I use if, for instance, to look for specific parts of strings and perform logic accordingly. Thanks for the tip David. I don't know much about REXX. Is it a standard feature in OS/400? Do you know of any good examples? ################################################################################ ##### Attention: The above message and/or attachment(s) is private and confidential and is intended only for the people for which it is addressed.
