Al,With a little education, you could teach them that System i is the family to which AS/400 servers belong. And that iSeries belongs to the same family. And that IBM only sells i5 servers now - they have not sold AS/400 since 2000 - which means your customers are a century behind!
I personally find that it is IBM and its business partners who are unable to modernize their vernacular. One of my customers said yesterday that all their other IT people think the AS/400 is old. When I suggested they tell the rest of IT that an AS/400 ~IS~ old, and their server was an i5 (the most modern, scalable, reliable server on the planet), they said they would try that. Small step, but one that our customers need to take.
Help them! Trevor----- Original Message ----- From: "Al Barsa"

I misspoke (or was that miswrote). It will only run on System i as LINUX. I just call the system AS/400, because that's what I have to call it to make sense to customers. Al
