The best way to do this is either by changing the object authority on the
iSeries systems, for the objects in question, to allow only read authority
to the file or to implement exit programs.

Controlling the PC is a little more difficult, best bet is to control access
at the iSeries.  Below is a link to our iSeries products which include

I have enabled the Client Access Excel Add-In and have successfully
transferred data out of the iSeries directly into an Excel Work-Sheet.

 

I would like to disable (for obvious reasons) the 'Transfer DataTo
iSeries' icon/function but cannot see how to do this while still
retaining the 'Transfer Data From' option.
