Hi Greg,

How about checking for locks on the user's msgq? An interactive job will
attemp to hold an exclusive lock on the profile's msgq, so perhaps you could
infer that they have an interactive session started....

Subject: CLP question - how to determine if a user is signed on.

Hello List - need your help.

I have a job that needs to send a break message to a user (Pam) when EDI
arrives. If Pam is not at work then Joe should get the message.

Pam uses session PAM and Joe uses session JOE.

How do I determine if Pam is not signed on to an active session?
I tried using CHGJOB (PAM) RUNPTY(20) and monitoring for a failure
message but old job logs make this technique fail.

TIA,
Greg
