You could look at the status of the display rtvcfgsts and if its active (some 
number i cant thnk of) then send it

Hello List - need your help.

I have a job that needs to send a break message to a user (Pam) when EDI
arrives. If Pam is not at work then Joe should get the message.

Pam uses session PAM and Joe uses session JOE.

How do I determine if Pam is not signed on to an active session?  
I tried using CHGJOB (PAM) RUNPTY(20) and monitoring for a failure
message but old job logs make this technique fail.
