Mark, Would it matter whether this is going to an *IPDS or *ASCII type printer?
The target printers speak PCL5/6.
I *think* that either will work, once you have PSF/400. But I haven't done this (yet?), so don't hold me to that.

Yes, and you must be on at least V5R3 as well. I suppose the other option is to stay in *SCS mode, disable unprintable character checks, then perform your own conversion of the TIFF contents into raster graphics commands in PCL and insert into your document using the ASCII transparency data stream command in SCS. But that would tie you to PCL based printers, and in general seems like a lousy alternative. Doug
