 Once the image is scanned and indexed it remains static.  Each image will
usually be one page.  I just don't think that overlays is a good solution
because:
 
a) The images will be different for each new invoice.

b) The invoices are all (except for reprints, of course) going to be
generated into a single spool file.

How dynamic are they?  Dynamic enough that you need to use the exit point 
that checks for changes in IFS files (used for virus checking) and if a 
change is to a certain file in a certain directory then you need to 
convert that into an overlay?  Or static enough that you can change it 
manually as they occur?  Or, you may have a valid concern.  This may not 
be a good fit for overlays.  Particularly if they take more than one page 
for each tiff.
