We use this to do a full clear of all problem mail. Be warned that it will delete all pending SMTP mail. We use it when we see high CPU use in SMTP jobs and/or lots of MSF messages on startup that there are bad messages. "bad" usually meaning that someone gave us an e-mail address that is undeliverable PGM CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QTMSCLEAN) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(1) + VALUE('c') AUT(*ALL) ENDMSF OPTION(*IMMED) ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*SMTP) DLYJOB DLY(30) STRMSF MSGOPT(*CLEAR) STRTCPSVR SERVER(*SMTP) ENDPGM

Hi all, I have had this problem before but for the life of me I cannot remember how to resolve it. The SMTP server has loads of QTSMTPCLTP pre-start jobs. They are looping and I can get them to re-set. I have IPL'ed (somewhere in the depths of my mind this was supposed to fix it.) It did not. We are at V5R3 and have the latest PTF's installed. What can I Do? Thanks in advance Kevin
