I was also looking to go to this tape library with a new 520+ in a few months, but I think the 3581's just got removed from marketing (or are just about to be removed from marketing). That is from our business partner... I don't have any links to an actual announcement from IBM. egriffin@xxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounce To s@xxxxxxxxxxxx Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> 06/20/2006 07:23 cc AM Subject 3581 LTO Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> We are looking to purchase a new IBM 3581-L3H for our new 9406-520. Has any one had any issues with this drive with BRMS or any other problems. We are also looking to use this tape autoloader with veritas attached Windows 2003 Dell server. Does this drive support both connections to the different platforms at the same time. I can not find any information on number of SCSI ports it has.
