PDM and PC5250 macro recording could give you a way to help the process a
little -

- WRKOBJPDM YOURLIB and take F17 to filter down to only *QRYDFNs.
- Put your cursor on the option line, then start recording.
- Cursor over to the first character of the name of the *QRYDFN (or Alt-Right)
- Holding shift down, cursor 10 characters
- Ctrl-Insert to copy - or up to the Edit menu
- F9 to get to command line
- Cursor down until you come to the library line at the top of the screen
- Shift and cursor to select as before
- Go to edit menu and take Copy-Append
- F9 again
- End key to clear it
- WRKQRY
- Once there, type 2 to change
- Paste to fill query and library
- Enter
- Type 1 and enter to get to the file list
- Here you want to pause your recording - so that you can type enter when
running it as often as needed for the number of files in the query
- Press Enter as often as needed
- When back to "Define the Query" - resume recording
- F3
- Type Y and 3 and press Enter to save
- End the recording

Whady'all think? I love macros for repetitive stuff.

Hi Folks,

Our main application vendor is installing new update this weekend and files
are changing.

We have a TON of queries that reference these files and if a file they use
had changed, the query will bomb of course.

So is there any way to force the save of a query without going into it and
doing that ?

Thanks !

Chuck
