In my case, many of the changes involved increasing field sizes and even though
SQL is in there somewhere, we get "level checks" and perhaps level check
is the wrong term. Haven't had a halt lately to see the msg..

Chuck,

I did an experiment recently, and suprisingly (because I thought that it
used to do level check checking) dropping or adding an unused field did not
seem to matter. Apparently is uses SQL (and the corresponding leniencies)
under the covers.

Mark,

Hmmm. So even if the file has been recompiled ? They usually add field to
the end of a file...

Thanks,

Chuck

Chuck,

If the fields used in the query have not changed, or been removed, you
should not receive a level check.

Bryan,

The problem we are going to have is a level checking problem not an actual
name change.

Thanks,

Chuck

If the queries will bomb because of a file name change, how about creating
a logical with the old name and create it over the new file name.
