A million years ago, when CISC-to-RISC wasn't going to transferring system
values (IBM ultimately smartened up and put this support into the
announcement), I coded my own SAVSYSVAL/RSTSYSVAL commands.  Under the
covers I used RTVSYSVAL.

You need to be aware that the auditing system values can not be retrieved
unless you have *AUDIT or *ALLOBJ authority, or else these system values
come back at you as *NOTAVL.  (This started at V5R3.)

Parsing the spooled file can be hairy.
