Nathan, I don't think having the right software loaded will still
allow you to continue to create a multimember file using DDS
and expect to have the benefits of SQL.

I didn't mean to imply that DB2 for MultiSystems added support for the MAXMBRS
parameter of the CHGPF command. I was just playing around and found a
limitation that applied only to SQL DDL created files.

One of the biggest complaints I have about DDS is that since many
constraint capabilities are not built in and must be included in a MAKE
script, that most developers just won't use them.

Most developers won't use DDL constraints because they're overly restrictive.
As soon as someone defines one, someone else comes up with a case for an
exception to the rule, and you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

This leads to turf battles between the concept oriented DBA and the application
oriented developer, where one bases his opinions and conclusions on
intellectual reasoning, while the other bases his opinions on experience with
fluid business processes and a dynamic business climate.
