If you are on a system that will support the V5R3M5 LIC (810, 825 etc) which are the 2nd generation of 8xx models, then Upgrade to V5R3M5 Lic before the backup and things will be fine. If you are on a system that is not supported by V5R3M5 LIC then DO NOT RESTORE LIC from the backup. After the restore of the rest of the backup re-apply PTFs. _____________________ Kirk Goins CCNA Systems Engineer, Manage Inc. We are hoping to stay with a fairly simple "by the book" (Backup and Recovery Guide) save/restore process in migrating to the new box... what concerns does the need for V5R3M5 LIC introduce? Does it complicate the process very much?
