Kirk I have screen pops for incoming calls only. We are using a BCLID (bulk calling line identification) circuit with a Nortel DMS 500. An AS/400 Java socket program talks with a Lantronix MSS100 that is connected to the 202T modem that is on the end of the BCLID circuit. The AS/400 sends the calling number to client data queues and/or over TCPIP sockets depending on the client application (GUI or Applet). All the programming was developed in-house. If I could get outgoing calls this would be great but all I get is incoming. It is better than nothing. We looked at ICM (Intelligent Call Management) but never got it going. I have a client running very old legacy apps on a 170 running V5R3. They are looking at replacing their current phone system and the sales rep for the phone system asked them about integrating the phone system to their computers. Right now I know it takes an adapter from the Nortel to the network and a Windows based server/pc run Nortel's TAPI compliant interface. They reference customer apps like Goldmine and ACT. So here are a couple of questions I have... #1 Anyone have experience with Nortel's products and the iSeries? #2 What does it take, in general terms, to get an inbound phone call to say bring up selected screen from an iSeries 5250 app? #3 Anyone have experience with other phone manufactures and integration with the iSeries?
