I have a client running very old legacy apps on a 170 running V5R3. They are looking at replacing their current phone system and the sales rep for the phone system asked them about integrating the phone system to their computers. Right now I know it takes an adapter from the Nortel to the network and a Windows based server/pc run Nortel's TAPI compliant interface. They reference customer apps like Goldmine and ACT. So here are a couple of questions I have...#1 Anyone have experience with Nortel's products and the iSeries?#2 What does it take, in general terms, to get an inbound phone call to say bring up selected screen from an iSeries 5250 app? #3 Anyone have experience with other phone manufactures and integration with the iSeries?
