Was your twinax grief from a twinax console or support of a twinax
terminal environment? I've run twinax consoles for years and enjoyed
the stability. We still run a twinax console on a 530. We love our
HMC-managed 570 and the advanced management features. It has, however,
locked up once, crashed once and done some unpredictable things. I
would never give up the HMC, but it does require its own updates,
maintenance, care and feeding. I think a twinax console and spare
console on a shelf is a great way to go if you don't feel like managing
a computer to manage your computers.

True, hmc's and op's console almost never ever break compared to all the
grief we had with twinax.
