Most of these elements were defined there and in related 'standards/guides'. As a ~general~ guideline, an F-key should do pretty much the same function whether GUI or green-screen. (I'm not sure how current UI standards might discuss this.) Unfortunately, an awful lot of green-screen isn't 'standard'. E.g, how often do F3 and F12 do exactly the same thing? OTOH, how often are they both implemented according to standard? (It wasn't too long ago that programs such as MS Word were among the ones implementing the standard best.) Tom Liotta
