For causal enquiries, there is a place for the mouse for irregular users of the system who are used to point and click, but for speed, the keyboard and function keys are much quicker.
Right. Using the mouse is great for stuff like searching and ordering a book from Amazon. Mousing around an entry interface is not so much fun if you are cataloging thousands of books.
