I believe we are part of the problem of the attitude towards the System
i because we refuse to introduce the newer techniques that are available
to us.  For some reason we equate the mouse with evilness, sloth, and
bad practices.

Sure enough!  It is certainly possible to make green screen apps more
friendly, intuitive and error resistant by improving the UI.  But you
may be the only person doing it ?-)

I believe that one reason IBM gave up on 5250 is that we (RPG
developers) simply refused to use the enhancements and improve the
usability of our apps.  Since the overall marketplace is demanding the
ability to create friendly, easy to use apps, IBM moved another
direction.
