Is there a policy about having your 400s access the Internet?
No, but we appear to have some sort of domain name resolution problem.
I can ping to the IP addresses that both Google and my ISP resolve to, but I can't ping either one by name.
I checked the DNS addresses, and they didn't match the DNS adddresses set in this WinDoze box (though they must have been good at some time in the past). I changed the DNS addresses to match this PC, but have not yet restarted TCP; do I need to do this for a DNS address change to take effect?
Are there other settings that need to be in effect in order for a DNS search to work?
I may be doing a full re-IPL shortly on one of the boxes to test that last question myself.
