As was just mentioned, the mail will deliver fine, if the 400s were permitted to access the Internet. If neither machine cannot ping an internet host, say 4.2.2.1, than they will not be able to send email without some type of help in the form of a mail relay. Is there a policy about having your 400s access the Internet?

Best regards,

Fritz Hayes

What I meant was that the parm MAILROUTER was blank and FIREWALL was NO.

But all our 400s are behind the firewall. If FIREWALL is *NO, is it going to be able to get out?

Also, I can't currently PING my personal ISP, or www.google.com, from either of our 2 main network-connected 400s. I can, however, ping them from the PC I'm typing this from. And so far, none of my attempts to send email from any 400 have borne any fruit.
