I was expressing concern about the privacy aspects of it. In the wake of recent revelations about U.S. government's illegal eavesdropping in the name of the fight against terrorism, it's kind of chilling to contemplate that the technology exists to take this to the next level.

I also saw in another news story how some animals are kept in restricted areas using electrical charges to the collar if they stray outside the boundaries. The problem is that wild animals, not so restricted, have a captive audience for destruction.
