You need a SCSI controller card for your 170. You can find them on eBay or
a used equipment vendor.

Subject: 8mm and 170

Hi,

I have to connect dual 8mm external tape drive (7208-234) to a 170 (with
expansion unit). I am not sure about the connectors and such. The connector
that comes with 8mm drive is big connector one. And all I can see at back of
170 is "small teethed" connectors (SCSI?).

Do I need a specific cable or addon card for 170?

Thanks,
