Mine usually come in about a week sometimes a day or so less. Unless of course like Paul mentioned...that it ends up sitting underneath a porch or in the trunk of postal employees personal car. Come to think of it.....there was one a few months back that NEVER showed up at all (hmmmm) Thanks for reinforcing that image of Chicago postal employees <grin> Jim Norbut Systems Administrator Grubb & Ellis Company Northbrook, IL -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Franz Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 10:04 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: US Mail PTF Orders Take a look at the package label and see when IBM shipped it. If was US Mail - i just received a "priority mail" package (not from IBM) that took 9 days from ship to receive. It did come from the area where tornadoes hit last week so could be that reason for delay... jim ----- Original Message ----- From: <ChadB@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2006 10:48 AM Subject: Re: US Mail PTF Orders Ours usually come via DHL and are quick. Last time I noticed when ordering a group online was that there was a field to specify the carrier... i've never used it though. Ordered the PTF media for HMC 5.2 - did this on Feb 28th. The front of the package says "Ship date 2/28/2006" and here it is the 16th of March and it showed up today. This took so long I reordered the package 2 days ago. Good thing I didn't need the fix packs for my HMC or anything. Sheesh. Anyone else having 2.5-week turnaround times on their PTFs?
