There is a Perl script I got from our vendor that is used to install patches. Rather cool and much more automated than previously, however there is still quite a few manual steps I would like to automate. So I a writting a CL program to automate this a bit more. 1. Is there a way in CL to get the first filename (alpha sorted) in a directory? 2. What is the easiest way to get a list of a. Source Physical Files b. Source Members I need this to "archive" the origonal source before the patch is installed. (Just incase there is a problem) I know I can do this in RPG with API's but I am wondering if this can all be done in CL. -- Mike Wills koldark@xxxxxxxxx http://mikewills.name http://theriverbendpodcast.com "There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't." -Unknown
