I upgraded a V5R2M0 model 270 to V5R3M0. First time I have ever done an upgrade and it went remarkably well. CUME apply went well and system was functioning after process was completed (at 2am). Still had group PTF's to apply but I was too tired to push all the way through. So, the following night I applied groups for 99275,99173,99099,99269,99503. They are as follows:

PTF Group Level Status SF99530 5298 Installed SF99529 71 Installed SF99503 8 Installed SF99275 10 Installed SF99269 7 Installed SF99173 2 Installed SF99099 7 Installed The following morning, all was well (apparently). No errors in the install history, no errors in the qsysopr message queue. However, I cannot connect anymore using secure Telnet. I briefly get connecting message and then "disconnect".

The QTVTELNET job has the following messages:

Job 288253/QTCP/QTVTELNET submitted. Function error X'1720' in machine instruction. Internal dump identifier (ID) 0100269A. Unknown system state. Unknown system state. Error occurred in SSL processing, check the errno value.
The detail on the final (SSL) error is:

Message ID . . . . . . : CPDBC8A Date sent . . . . . . : 02/02/06 Time sent . . . . . . : 19:21:55 Message . . . . : Error occurred in SSL processing, check the errno value. Cause . . . . . : A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Application Programming Interface (API) or GSK API was unsuccessful. The errno value has been updated to indicate the error encountered. Recovery . . . : Determine the API which encountered the error and the errno value it received. The strerror or perror functions can be used to assist in determining the error.
Not sure, exactly, what that means. CPDBC8A points to GSK_ERROR_IO.

I assumed a problem with certificate itself and I have a variety of errors I encountered as I tried update, change or delete the existing certificate using DCM. The most common is:

Message An error occurred while opening the certificate store, check for file existence and permission.

I signed in to DCM as QSECOFR so I don't think it is a permissions issue.....

Basic question is: Is there a method for manually deleting the certificate so I can re-create it. I *think* that is where the problem lies (not sure though).
