In my experience, I've found NFS to perform much better than /QNTC. (QNTC has always been very slow for me.)
I'm not familiar with NetApps, so I won't be much help there. --- Scott Klement http://www.scottklement.com On Tue, 24 Jan 2006, John_Bresina@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote:
Several of our windows file shares have been migrated to a NETAPPS box. We used to map to these windows servers using QNTC however these no longer work with the NETAPPS server. We are being told that we need to use NFS. Does anybody have any experience with the Iseries mapping to a NETAPPS file share? I have always heard that NFS is a performance nightmare, is this true? This NETAPPS solution has already been implemented in production at our site and is now causing issues with our daily batch runs.
