Remote access to the HMC can be used with WebSM.

WebSM (Web Based System Manager) is a tool that provides a complete set of 
Web-based system management interfaces for iSeries family systems. It 
enables administration of a single or multiple iSeries family systems from 
the Hardware Management Console (HMC) or a client PC with access to the 
same network as the HMC. This tool is included with the HMC.
