RTVMBRD FILE(&LIB/&PF) NBRCURRCD(&NBRECORD)
will give you this information. You could put it inside a program. that is what
we did.

Is there an API or library function which can be used to know the total number
of records in a DB2 table from within a C program? The program is running on
the same iseries machine as is the DB2 table.
