Hi Eduard,

Yes, the same user profile name on the source machine solved my problem!
Thank you very much!

Thank you, Rob!

Re: DDM authority problem

How is your DDM connection configured?
Over Ip or over SNA.
When over Ip the following applies:
- On the target machine an Enabled UserProfile must exist with the same
name as the user profile that is executing the DDM request on the Source
machine.
Password is not considered (It can be an internal UserProfile).

Kind regards,
Eduard Sluis.

Hi Rob,

Thank you very much for the reply!

I set up a ddm file to point to a file in our own system, just to test the

ddm server. I did a DSPPFM to the DDM file. It worked.

After I get your email,

I did DSPSVRAUTE, there is no entry there, so I did ADDSVRAUTE
SERVER(QDDMSERVER), entered an entry for myself, entered my password also.

I did the same thing on the target server too.

However, when I did a DSPPFM to the DDM file, or call a rpgle program to
access the ddmf, I still get the same message, with reason code 6.

Anything else you can suggest me to try?

Thanks a lot!

DJ
