Actually RPG might log the errors.  Unless you trap for it.  For example, 
if you do a CALL QCMDEXC versus CALL(E) QCMDEXC.  It would blow up.  Now 
however, I prefer to trap the error and handle it myself. 

You can screw up CL also.  After every command put a MONMSG CPF0000 
followed by a RCVMSG to clear the offender out of the joblog.
