Stefan The definition of find is
The find utility recursively descends the directory tree for each file listed,
But there are a couple options I would try - have not done so myself. These are from the QShell manual.
1. Try -prune somewhere after /QIBM but not immediately after the -name. According to the manual
It causes find to not descend into the current file.
Not sure if that means what I think. 2. Use the -x option, which is described as
Prevent find from descending into directories that have a device number different than that of thefile from which the descent began.

If I enter "find /QIBM -name '*.txt'" then I get a list of all .txt-files in all subdirectories below /QIBM. Anyway to prohibit that and get a list from the QIBM directory alone?
