It allows you to use an printer with an IPDS memory chip install for *AFPDS 
printing.  On your device description, you'd have AFP(*YES).


Also note that while having an IPDS printer defined AFP(*NO) and attached via 
twinax doesn't require PSF/400.  The same printer attached via Ethernet does.

In all cases, having IPDS printer defined AFP(*YES) requires PSF/400.

Oh, yeah...almost forgot: the 1-45IPM means that the faster printer you can 
connect is a 45ppm.  If your printers are faster, then one of the other PSF/400 
LICPGMs.
