Is RCVSAVF really a save file? Try putting a (REPLACE at the end of your put statement. Are you in binary mode? Also, check the authorities of the user id with which you log into the iSeries. -- Paul Nelson Arbor Solutions, Inc. 708-670-6978 Cell pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx -----midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: ----- To: midrange-l <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> From: James Rich <james@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx Date: 09/27/2005 04:34PM Subject: sending save files from non-iSeries to iSeries Hi everyone, I think I have lost my mind. I can't for the life of me remember how to get a save file from a non-iSeries machine to an iSeries. I'm using ftp and everytime I try to transfer the file I get this: ftp> put validation.savf rcvsavf local: validation.savf remote: rcvsavf 200 PORT subcommand request successful. 150 Sending file to member RCVSAVF in file RCVSAVF in library JAMES. 426-Cannot write to member RCVSAVF in file RCVSAVF in library JAMES. 426 Data transfer ended. Can anyone help? James Rich It's not the software that's free; it's you. - billyskank on Groklaw -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
