Whereas Microsoft has a clear goal to replace every iSeries with a Wintel box, I highly doubt that IBM was intending to replace all AS/400s programs with Windows boxes running VARPG. It was simply an option for creating thick client interfaces that used a language most AS/400 programmers were already familiar with. Joe
