Exactly....and the funny thing is while it may have been at a discount but every one of us who bought the Enterprise edition paid money for TSM..........huh....iSeries customers being forced to pay money to a product not supported on their operating system......another reason why I don't like Linux partitions. Let me rephrase...I like them but I'm tired of vendors taking the approach that their product runs on the iSeries when it doesn't run in OS/400..........that's the real value..... Zollar is now in charge of Tivoli.....wonder if he cares........ rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounce To s@xxxxxxxxxxxx midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx cc 09/20/2005 11:42 Subject AM BS: IBM trying to get people to port applications to the i5 Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> If IBM is serious about porting applications to the i5 why then, don't they get the newest versions of TSM to run underneath i5/OS? http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/resources/ If they cannot convince IBM, who can they convince? And I am not interested in that crippled up version of TSM (that even that, IBM stopped upgrading) that runs underneath PASE. Because PASE has too many limitations in tape speed, etc that the IBM/Tivoli people could not work around.
