In the past I've used an offsite storage company. They had a climate controlled room for all of your media needs and warehousing for paper documents. It was 35 miles away and delivered everything in an armored truck. I think the company name was Shurgard, so we had Sungard and Shurgard. I store my business' tape at home as opposed to the bank's safety deposit box because of the possibility that I'd need to retrieve it when the bank would be closed -- the thought is horrendous to have the machine go down on a Saturday night and not be able to begin recovery until Monday morning (and if Monday were a holiday. . .). Plus, the flooding in the Gulf Coast cities has shown that even if the bank was open 24x7 there's no guarantee the tape would be usable. The only holes in my plan to keep the tape at my house are: 1) A major disaster might possibly affect my house as well as the business even though I'm 15 miles away. 2) If I'm on vacation and the tape is needed, I'd have to work out getting access (a minor problem). So, I'm trying to figure out if there's a better way and am looking for other ideas. Bill
