What we have found, much to our dismay, is that the password for windows must match the password for the iSeries. Dave >>> rallen@xxxxxxxxxxx 9/2/05 11:04:41 AM >>> We have many customers that will assist with mapping their drives, but we have encountered one customer that we cannot get a drive mapped on their system They are running Windows XP OS400 V5R2 When mapping a drive to a directory in the IFS the users enter their iSeries User Id and Password The screen re-appears and prompts for User Name and password. We have done a CHGUSRPRF to make sure the User profile is not disabled We have tried several different User profiles including QSECOFR We have checked the authorities on the IFS root (temporarily set *PUBLIC Data Authority = *RWX Object Authority= *ALL) not other Users We have checked the authorities on the directory in the IFS root (temporarily set *PUBLIC Data Authority = *RWX Object Authority= *ALL) not other Users We have stopped NetServer and restarted NetServer then check messages in QSYSOPR to verify the NetServer Name was correct We have attempted to map using the iSeries IP Address, System Name (with and without leading Q), NetServer Name Am I missing something, ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated John
