Your comments about other os's and their basic copy options confuse me. If
I have a group of excel spreadsheets that are my budget types, and another
groups that are my forecasting types, don't they both end with .XLS? How
do you copy the different sectors? Likewise, on the lf/pf front, they
both end with .file in the IFS, for example, /qsys.lib/mylib.lib/mypf.file
and /qsys.lib/mylib.lib/mylf.file. Now, I have seen some tricks in ftp
that actually used the 'attribute' and not the 'type' to do nice things. I
think someone posted that you could do a ftp 'put
/qsys.lib/mylib.lib/myfile.savf' and it would automatically build the file
as a save file while a 'put mylib/myfile' would build it as a pf. Is this
what you are talking about?
