The author of the article was apparently misled...California Software ONLY
appears as a Sponsored listing on both Google and Yahoo -- at least in
repeated searches by myself they don't appear in the normal listings (at
least in the first 3 or 4 pages of listings). At the very top of the Google
page of iSeries listings, however, is CS's Sponsored link for their
deceptive MidrangeNews "publication", touted as "The latest news and updates
in the iSeries world". Yeah right. Isn't there a law against a vendor posing
as a journalistic resource only for the purpose of pushing their own agenda?
There ought to be. In this case they are posing as an iSeries journalistic
resource in order to encourage companies to MOVE OFF the iSeries! Shouldn't
IBM want to sic a lawyer or two on 'em? I can tell you that iTera and Asymex
have turned lawyers loose to force the removal of our ads (which still
appear in the emailed version of their pub), and force a retraction.
