RE: problem starting http admin instance

I don't know about 8000 <g>, but you do need to be reasonably current.
I'm running V5R1 just fine here.  You might want to check your log
files.  Once you get into the web world, most information is stored in
text files in the IFS.  Here's a good place to start:

/QIBM/UserData/HTTPA/admin/logs
